Who Is Jimmy Fowlkes?

So blessed to have been born into a Baseball Family! With 40 years of experience and counting, Jimmy Fowlkes has enjoyed being a high school coach, youth league coach, instructional baseball camp director, and private instructor. In 1993 he founded a family owned Training Center along with his father and eldest brother Buddy. Jimmy earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Georgia State University. He loves to paint and design logos. He currently lives in Kennesaw, GA with wife Ellena & two wonderful sons, Joshua (19) and Jacob (11).
"Coaching is my passion! I actually enjoy one-on-one instruction more than anything. I find it extremely rewarding to see a young athlete become more confident in their ability simply by motivating them everyday to believe in themselves. The mental part of baseball is so important. My motto is: 'Motivate players and help them enjoy playing the game!'

The best part about coaching is, you never stop learning and I teach my players to do the same. Each game we play should be fun, so let's Play Ball!

BASEBALL IS LIFE

Absolutely loved having a captive audience as the Head Coach at Osborne High School in 2016. The parents were very supportive and the players were starving to learn how to win after struggling for so long. Enjoyed the 2015 Campbell High School team because they worked hard to make the state playoffs for the first time in 23 years. The 2009 Decatur High School team also qualified for state after a long drought.

Leaving Osborne was hard because of the bond we developed, but I have concluded that working independently would benefit all these programs and the outstanding student-athletes that play there. Fowlkes Baseball will provide an off season program to educate, build character, and provide exposure to college programs. The 501-C3 was formed as a non-profit organization.

The origin of Fowlkes Baseball, Inc. has resulted from a life-long family tradition of "motivating today's youth to enjoy the game of baseball!"
