Being Motivated by a Man I Met in a Grocery Store

Giving props on this New Year's Day to Don Herring, a 70 year old gentleman my family met in the grocery store yesterday. He suffered 3 strokes ten years ago and not only lived to tell about it, but wrote a book about his life! He encouraged me to start writing my book. I survived a heart attack 13 years ago myself. Don and I had a great conversation about how our lives are similar, growing up being competitive athletes and having a wake up call like that. This man inspired me enough to ask him to go with me to visit Joshua's grandfather, who suffered a stroke two months ago and is struggling to get motivated with his rehab. He asked me to take this picture of the book cover on his phone, which he just released last year. I thoroughly enjoyed meeting him!
