Osborne's Jacob Runnels & Campbell's Zach Rozier

Cobb County defeated the Atlanta Public Schools 9-3 in the 2nd annual L.E.A.D. All-Star Baseball Classic at SunTrust Park on Saturday, June 3. The winning team was represented by two players that I had the pleasure of coaching the last three years. Osborne Cardinals' graduate Jacob Runnels and Campbell Spartans' graduate Zach Rozier.
Zach helped the Cobb County team by throwing out a runner stealing, scoring a run, and catching 3 different pitchers. He will further his education at the University of Georgia after an outstanding academic and athletic career at Campbell. Jacob ended the game, and his high school career, with an unassisted putout at first base. There's only one way to describe this young man after being the head coach at Osborne last year. He will be remembered as one of the most likable players in the history of Cobb County baseball.
Good luck to both of you and thanks for the memories!
