Join us in a Heartfelt Tribute on the Anniversary of 'Momma" Fowlkes' Passing

From 1960 to 2016 a member of the Fowlkes family was a student, teacher, or coach at Decatur High School in Decatur, Georgia. In honor of our family legacy (please read bios @ https://www.fowlkesbaseball.com/fowlkes-family-foundation#MemorialFund ), we have established the Fowlkes Family Memorial Fund Capital Campaign.
Decatur has a storied athletic tradition, and supporting this community has been a source of pride with our family. The wisdom gained by our experience has taught us the importance of commitment. We feel that instilling this attitude is vital to continuing a successful athletic program at DHS.
The Capital Campaign will allow us to fund the building of first class athletic facilities and develop a strong community feeder program. The goal is to make Decatur the center of both athletic and academic success.
Historically, good baseball programs have spacious dugouts, locker rooms, storage areas, and an indoor batting cage. Additionally, we would like to add coaches’ offices, umpires dressing room, and a unique museum for Decatur baseball history.
Our vision for success will also include what our traditional family values taught us; dedication to practice & training, teamwork, pride in your uniform, appreciate the history, have fun and respect the game.
The $300,000 Capital Campaign will help fund the proposed athletic facility, help student-athletes, and strengthen the overall athletic program.
To make a contribution to the Memorial Fund and continue the Fowlkes Family tradition, please click the DONATE button on www.fowlkesbaseball.com. Thank you for your generous support!

I'll admit it. I committed a sin! I did something that no other youth baseball coach has ever done. Are you ready for this? I didn't stall.

The son of Tony and Julie became a star the other day. I met mom, dad, and Braylon a few years ago, when they played on the same team that I was helping to coach.

Mom would have been 90 this year, dad 95. But the spring of 2020, whew… what a year to be alive.

I almost decided not to go to the doctor on Monday morning, September 12, 2005. What if I didn't? I wouldn't be here today!

A few days before my first ever Fowlkes Baseball/End of Summer/Back to School/Sandlot Baseball Game, I was told about an incident that occurred recently at the 2019 Dizzy Dean World Series in Southaven, Mississippi.
